INTRODUCTION
According to G.O passed in 2009 lay a platform to the teachers as a
TEACHERS ELIGIBILITY TEST (TET). In accordance of RTE Act and NCET as lay down minimum qualification
that teacher should pass in the eligibity test .According to RTE it is
compulsory to the teachers must eligible in Tntet because it’s the essential
qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as teacher in all school .The qualified teacher can
appoint for class 1-8.
QUALIFICATION OF THE CANDIDATES
The following categories of candidates can write the teachers
eligibility test
PAPER-I
The candidates who have passed the Diploma in Teacher Education
(D.Ted) and also 10+2 version they can
write paper I test. These teachers can handle the classes for 1-5 Std.
PAPER-II
The candidates who have passed the Bachelor Degree in well
recognized authorized university (10+2+3)
and must complete Bachelor of
Education (B.Ed) they can write paper II
test.
These teachers can handle the classes for 6-8 Std.

NOTIFICATION OF THE CANDIDATES
- TET Questions contains 150 questions.
- All questions are in the pattern of multiple choice.
- Each questions contains 4 options so the candidate chose one of the answer.
- No negative marks.
- No language Problem because question paper will be in both Tamil and English.
- The candidate must focus to the OMR sheet while shading the answer
MARKS RESTRICTION
- Each carry one mark.
- No negative marks.
- Totally the candidate should take 60% of marks (i.e ) minimum 90 marks consider as pass.
- Marks restriction is given for candidates
GENRAL INFORMATION
- TET exam conducted By TRB yearly twice.
- In district head quarters only the exams will conduct.
- Over 66 Educationl Distric Quarters will have examination at the same date and time.
APPLICATION FORM AND FEES STRUCTURE
- Application forms are issued by all Head Master of Government Higher Secondary School on pay amount of Rs.50/-.
- The filled application forms and challan must put inside envelop and hand over to the “DISTRICT EDUCATIONAL OFFICER”.
- The examination fees is Rs.500/- for SC/ST candidate Rs.250/- .
- The fees should pay in TRB notified banks.
- Challan attachment in application is very important.
- Any other method of paying fees is not considered.
SPECIAL INFORMATION
- The candidates are advised to refer trb web site http://trb.tn.nic.in/ for the hall ticket download.
- With out hall ticket the candidate not allowed inside the examination hall.
- Mark a your answers OMR sheet very carefully.
- Candidates must use OMR application form only.
- If the candidate secure 60% of mark are eligible in the TET.
- After the verification the teacher is appointed any government school .
- Weightage method also used during teachers selection as per the need of government.
